Here’s her birthday banner in action.
There were plenty of friends for Mike and I to hang out with but little Sesame had some buddies to play with too.
There were cupcakes [...]

My kiddo is just about to turn 2! It feels like time is flying by but then it also feels like little Sesame has been with us a lot longer than just 2 years. I barely remember life before her sometimes! We’re having a birthday bash this weekend and I whipped up this cute and [...]

12 hours in the car with a toddler isn’t so bad. Maybe it’s just my amazing trooper of a kid but I’m tempted to even’ say that the drive from Portland to the Bay Area was fun. I realize that sounds crazy but crayons, knitting and books on CD go a long way- 600 miles [...]

Mike and I didn’t really get into Halloween this year. Oh sure, we dressed sesame up as a batbaby and went to the Kennedy School where she got some candy and we got beer and then ate her candy.’ We didn’t put up decorations or even carve pumpkins and I usually love pumpkin carving!
If the [...]

We had a great time at The Pumpkin Patch last weekend and partied with some parent friends. Square dancing, all-you-can-eat barbecued corn and toddlers in face paint. It was a really good time and after much deliberation, we even came home with some pumpkins.
Back at home, the evidence that seseme is now a toddler is [...]

We went to the Apple Celebration at the Portland Nursery last weekend and and tasted over 60 kinds of apples and pears! Luckily we got a paper to write notes on and we learned a lot about apples. We bought a bunch of apples too so next up- applesauce!
Even sesame got into the harvest spirit [...]
