My Dad’s birthday was last weekend so I was able to give the first knitted gift of the season. He lives in southern California so he doesn’t need super warm gear but he also lives right by the beach and he’s often outside in the evenings. I whipped up these fingerless gloves for him in just a couple of days.
They’re my own pattern and I added some garter stitch Vs on the hand portion to liven them up a little. The yarn is Dream in Color’s Classy in a pretty semisolid black/grey. My dad is fun to knit for because he really appreciates handmade gifts and these were a big hit.
If you’re in Portland, stop by the Downtown Holiday Artisan’s Fair tomorrow from 10-6.
