Hi, thanks for your nice comment on my blog! I'm glad to hear Lopi Lace is in fact in Weekend Knitting - because I wouldn't put it past me to get my knitting books confused!! I love your Cascading Leaves socks - it's such a pretty pattern and the colorway is beautiful. The toe looks great too - the square ones always seem a bit funny to me. For sock yarn, right now I'm knitting with Trekking XXL and really really love it!

Your socks are great! For good old plain jane socks I love Lang Jawoll. It has just the right amount of nylon in it and it comes with reinforcing thread for the heels and toes (if you remember to use it, LOL). For multi-colored I enjoy the process of knitting with Mountain Colors Bearfoot a lot it just feels good and rarely pools much. Opal is good and pretty affordable and of course comes in fun self patterning colors if you like that sort of thing. Trekking is pretty popular yet pretty affordable as well. TheKnitter.com has free shipping in the US and carries a wide variety of sock yarn for reasonable prices (including the Bearfoot and the Jawoll). If you are a member of socknitters you can also get 10% off your order. The service I've had from her has been great.
